Paris Texas

I just watched Paris Texas again and wow! It's an amazing film by Wim Wenders done in 1984 that I personally connect to on several levels but its stunning none the less. It stars Harry Dean Stanton and Werner Herzog's muse's daughter, Natasha Kinski. The fim opens to a wandering catatonic man in the Texas desert area of Big Bend. As the film progress he tries to put back the pieces of his life, in particular his scattered family that suffered some unknown tragedy. The road and the american desert are a fitting landscape for both escape from failures and the possibility for redemption.
